The first of the ESPN broadcasts of the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe did not disappoint fans. The online junkies had their Isildur1 fix – assuming it is Viktor Blom – and the TV poker fans saw Hellmuth and Brunson at a featured table. Funnily enough, the latter scenario saw a bigger blowup.

A capacity crowd gathered at Newcastle’s Aspers Casino over the weekend for the second leg of the 2009/10 Sky Poker Tour. Despite the big field, there was to be no ‘waiting in vain’ for David Marley who took the title.
